Restoration Campaign Pledge Status

Restoration Campaign Pledge Status

May the peace of Christ be with you all as we enter into the third year of our restoration campaign! I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all who have so generously pledged and made contributions to the Honoring our Past…Building our Future restoration campaign. For those who have not yet been able to make a commitment, prayerfully consider making a donation or pledge. All contributions are appreciated and will bring us closer to our goal. It is with heartfelt appreciation, as your pastor, to share the following update on our current pledge status.

♦ As of 5/31/16, we have raised $1,661,949* in cash and pledges. This represents approximately 66% of our overall goal. Praise the Lord! Included in the $1,661,949, since the last update in February are the following:

– Stevens Anonymous Donor Restoration Match – $50,000

– NJ Historic Trust Grant – additional funding approved – $15,950

– St. Ann Guild Donation – $15,000

– Paver Sales Total -$62,000

Phase 2, addressing the interior repairs of the church, is almost complete. This work included plastering and painting, artwork restoration, refinishing of all wood surfaces, electrical rewiring and lighting upgrades, flooring and pews.

♦  New pews will be installed the week of June 13th. The old pews will live on in Our Lady of La Vang Catholic Church in North Carolina.

♦ Refinishing of the column and wainscoting “scagliola” is a work in progress.

♦  Work remains to repair the damaged beam in the basement. Temporary shoring has been set up in preparation for the installation of the new beam.

♦ Official notification received that St. Ann Church is listed on the National & State Registry of Historic Sites.

♦ While much progress has been being made, we have a long way to go to reach our goal of $2.5 million and we are actively collecting pledges to complete Phase 2 of the restoration for the interior church repairs.

♦ We are also accepting gifts of stock. When stock is donated, the donor receives a tax deduction based on the stock’s Fair Market Value (FMV) at the time of the donation and not the cost of the stock, allowing the donor to reap benefits for a tax deduction for the stocks Appreciation in Value.

♦  Pledge forms may be obtained at the back of the Church or on line at and mailed back to St. Ann Church or put in the collection basket.

♦  Please continue to pray for our parish in this endeavor and consider making a sacrificial contribution. Full parishioner participation will help us achieve our goal. Be a part of our Church’s future – a future forged in faith, hope and love. May God bless you for your generosity and bring you peace.

Gratefully Yours in Christ,

fr. remo
