In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Saint Ann, I begin this novena with joy and perfect confidence. I ask you to help me live this novena with fervor. Be with me as I pray. I keep remembering you, dear Saint Ann. I remember that you are the Mother of the Virgin Mary and the Grandmother of Jesus, my Savior. I contemplate you. I admire you. You are the perfect wife praised by Holy Scripture (Pr.31:10). You are a model for spouses, parents, and grandparents. You have showered love and blessings on your daughter, Mary, and your Grandson Jesus. You loved them so much! And they loved you tenderly!
O Blessed Saint Ann, the first grace I beg of you is the grace to love more the Lord, my God with all my heart, with all my soul and with all my strength and to love my neighbor as myself. Obtain for me this outstanding grace! Grant it to all those I love. Amen.
To kneel at your altar, in faith we draw near,
led onward by Mary, your daughter, so dear.
O Good Saint Ann, we call on your name; your praises loud, your children proclaim!
To all who invoke you, you do lend an ear.
You do soothe the sorrows of all who draw near
O Good Saint Ann, we call on your name; your praises loud, your children proclaim!
With a heart full of sincere filial veneration, I place myself before you, O Blessed Saint Ann. You are that beloved and privileged person who, because of your extraordinary virtue and sanctity, did deserve from God the Chief of Graces, by giving life to the Treasure of Grace, the blessed among women, the Blessed Virgin Mary. In consideration of such exalted favors, O most tender saint, receive me among the number of your truly devoted servants, for such I profess to be and wish to remain all the days of my life! Surround me with your loving patronage, and obtain for me from God the imitation of those virtues with which you were so generously gifted. Obtain for me the knowledge of my sins and sorrow for them, an ardent love for Jesus and Mary, a faithful and constant observance of the duties of my state of life. Save me from all dangers in life and assist me at the hour of my death that I may safely reach Heaven. There to praise with you most happy Mother, the word of God made flesh in the womb of Your most pure Daughter, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Amen.
Good St. Ann, Mother of her who is our life, our sweetness and our hope, pray to her for us and obtain our request. (3times)
Oh God, who granted Saint Ann, the grace to become the mother of her who gave birth to Your only Son, grant that we, who keep her in remembrance, may obtain her protection, through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Glorious Saint Ann filled with compassion for those who invoke you, with love for those who suffer, heavily laden with the weight of my troubles, I kneel at your feet and humbly beg of you to take the present affair which I recommend to you under your special protection. (Pause briefly in silence to mention your request) Vouchsafe to recommend it to your daughter, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and lay it before the throne of Jesus. Cease not to intercede for me until my request is granted. Above all, obtain for me the grace of one day beholding my God face to face, and with you and Mary and all the saints praising Him through all eternity. Amen.
Remember, Saint Ann, never was it said that anyone who sought your assistance was left unaided, for you are indeed a most merciful mother who tends to all our needs. Since you are the mother of the Queen of Heaven and our Savior's grandmother, I implore you to obtain from Jesus, through your Immaculate Daughter, the favors I stand in need of. Amen.
Good Saint Ann, pray for us, who have recourse to you!
The following prayer is said on the last Wednesday of every month at the evening celebration of the Mass of Healing:
Good Saint Ann, I place myself in your care. Pray that I receive the healing I seek and help rrie to know that I need not face my troubles alone. Help me in my present need and ask Jesus to send me consolation in my sorrow, courage in my fear and healing in the midst of my suffering. Ask Jesus to grant me the grace to accept whatever may lie ahead for me and my loved ones, and to strengthen my faith and trust in His healing power. I place my request in your hands confident that, through your powerful intercession, I may be renewed in body, mind, and spirit, and receive the healing I so strongly desire.
