For Catholics, the sacraments of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. Weather we are baptized as infants or adults, Baptism is the Church's way of celebrating and enacting the Embrace of God.

Parents should contact the Parish Office at the birth of the child to schedule an interview and to register for the required parents' and godparents' baptismal preparation session.

The sessions are held on the 2" Saturday of the month at 10:30 am in the rectory.

Baptisms take place on the First  and Third Sundays of the month - after the noon Mass.    Everyone is encouraged to attend the noon Mass.

Catholics believe the Eucharist, or Communion is both a sacrifice and a meal.  We believe in the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins.  As we receive Christ's Body and Blood, we also are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God.

The Catholic Sacrament of Reconciliation (also known as Penance, or Penance and Reconciliation) has three elements:  conservation, confession and forgiveness: as a result we are called to forgive others.

Confirmation is a Catholic Sacrament of Mature Christian commitment and depending on baptismal gifts.  It is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation of Catholics.  It is most often associated with gifts of the Holy spirits.

For Catholics, the Sacrament of Marriage, or Holy Matrimony is a public sign that one gives oneself totally to this other person. It is also a public statement about God: the loving union  of husband and wife speaks of family values and also God's values

The parish of St. Ann's Church joyfully welcome you as you prepare for the Sacrament of Matrimony.
The love you have privately come to realize and share will now be made public through a sacred sacrament. We join in the support of family and friends as you undertake a new way of life.

A Priest will assist you in the preparatory steps which will lead to your wedding day. You will also meet with the St. Ann's music director to plan all of the music for your wedding. We assure you of our continued support and prayers. If we may be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The Common Policy for Marriage in all Catholic Parishes in New Jersey requires couples to begin preparation at least one year prior to the planned wedding date. It is advisable for couples to contact the parish before any other arrangements are made for the wedding day.

In the Sacrament of Holy Orders, or Ordination, the priest being ordained vows to lead other Catholics by bringing them the sacraments by proclaiming the Gospel, and by providing others means to holiness.

The Catholic Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, formerly known as Last Rites or Extreme Unction, is a ritual of healing appropriate not only for physical but also for mental and spiritual sickness.

This sacrament is available to seriously ill members of our parish at home or in the hospital. Please call the Parish Office to make arrangements.

For legal reasons, many hospitals no longer inform parishes when a member is hospitalized; so please inform the Parish Office that a hospitalized parishioner would like a parish visit.

Please let us know of any homebound persons who would like Communion on a regular basis.

Throughout the year, individuals come forward seeking to learn more about the Catholic faith. You may have a friend who is Catholic... you may be dating, engaged, or married to a Catholic...or you may just be seeking information on your own. You may have even been baptized a Catholic but never completed your initiation.

If you are such a seeker, we welcome you! The St. Ann's community invites you to check out the adult initiaion rite here at the parish with the hope that you will find an opportunity to grow closer to God at this time in your faith community. This is a Rite in the Church and holds an integral place in the life of the Parish.

The adult initiaion rite, is a time of prayer, reflection, and learning that allows for the continual discernment of God's will in our lives. No matter where you are on your faith journey, there is a place for you at St. Ann's.
